TERMS OF SERVICE

The terms for using Sugarcoat

Last updated: 31 October 2026 · Suggarcoat Private Limited (CIN U62013GJ2026PTC184718)

1. These terms

These terms are an agreement between Suggarcoat Private Limited ("Sugarcoat", "we") and the organization that uses Sugarcoat ("the customer"). A signed order form, if there is one, wins over these terms where the two differ.

2. The service

Sugarcoat gives the customer's staff logins to the modules on its order: the Core OS and any industry module (Real Estate, School or Hospital) and add-ons. We describe what each module does on our website. Features marked "coming soon" are not part of the subscription until they ship.

3. Free trial

A free trial lasts 15 days from the day we set it up. It is free and needs no card. After the last day the account is read-only for 7 days, then closed. If the customer does not buy, we delete the trial data 30 days after the trial ends. Use synthetic data, not real patient records, in a Hospital OS trial.

4. Fees and payment

  • Prices are on our Pricing page or the order form. Prices exclude GST, which we add at the applicable rate.
  • Subscriptions are billed yearly in advance unless the order form says monthly; monthly billing costs 20% more.
  • The setup fee is charged once, when the customer buys. It covers the work listed on our Pricing page.
  • Invoices are due within 15 days. If an invoice is unpaid 30 days after its due date, we may make the account read-only after giving notice.
  • We tell the customer at least 30 days before any price change takes effect at renewal.

5. Cancellation and refunds

The customer can stop renewing at any time before the renewal date. Fees already paid for the current term and setup fees are not refunded, except where we fail to provide the service as described and do not fix it within 30 days of being told.

6. The customer's data

  • The customer owns the data it puts into Sugarcoat. We use it only to run the service for that customer.
  • The customer is responsible for having the right to put the data in, including consent from parents for children's data and from patients for health data where the law requires it.
  • When the subscription ends, the customer can take an Excel export. We delete the data within 30 days after that.
  • Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled.

7. Acceptable use

The customer must not use Sugarcoat to break the law, send spam, store data it has no right to hold, try to reach another organization's data, or put an unreasonable load on the service. Bulk Email may be used only within the limits set in the product. We may suspend an account that breaks this section after telling the customer, or at once if other customers or the service are at risk.

8. Availability and support

We work to keep Sugarcoat available and fix faults quickly, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may need short maintenance breaks. Support is by email and phone on Indian working days.

9. Liability

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees the customer paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect loss, lost profits or lost data that a reasonable export or backup by the customer would have prevented. Nothing here limits liability that Indian law does not allow to be limited.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We tell account owners by email at least 30 days before a change that reduces their rights takes effect.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes go to the courts of Amreli, Gujarat. Before going to court, both sides will try to settle a dispute by talking for 30 days.
